Tricia
brings a wealth of knowledge and
experience to the program with over 11
years of coaching experience on the
age-group, high school, collegiate,
and masters level. Tricia has
coached age group swimmers to Eastern
Zone Championships, developed USA Top
16 nationally ranked stars, coached
Big East Swimming champions, sent high
school qualifiers to State
championships and collegiate swimmers
to USA Senior Nationals.
In
addition to coaching the Barracudas,
she is the Girls Varsity Swim Coach at
Bethpage High School. In two
seasons at the helm of Bethpage High
School, she improved the team's record
from 2-7 to 7-2 taking a second place
in Conference IV for the 2008-2009
season. In addition, Bethpage
High School improved from an 18th
place showing in 2007 to a 10th place
showing in the County Championships in
2008.
Tricia graduated cum laude
from St. Bonaventure
University with a BS in
Psychology in 1998. At SBU, she was a
four-year varsity letter winner in
swimming and was named to the Atlantic
10 All-Conference team each of her
four years. She was a five
time individual conference champions
and is the SBU record holder in the
100 fly, 200 fly, 500 free. In
2005, she earned the "Rookie of the
Year Award" for the Atlantic 10
Conference and also "Female Athlete of
the Year" from St. Bonaventure.
As captain of the team senior year,
she lead the Bonnies to their third
straight A-10 title.
Tricia holds an MS in School
Counseling from St. John's University
(2005). She is
employed by the New York City
Department of Education as
a guidance counselor at Flushing
High School.

Danielle
joins the Barracudas coaching staff with a
vast and knowledgeable swimming
background. From July 2007–June 2010,
Danielle was the head men’s & women’s
swimming & diving coach at Allegheny
College where she was in charge of all
aspects of running a Division III college
swimming & diving program. In 3
short years, she led her teams to winning
dual meet seasons, third (women) and fourth
(men) place finishes in the North Coast
Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships,
the highest the men have placed since the
1999-2000 season, coached 1 NCAC Champion,
12 varsity records, 26 NCAA “B” cuts and 2
NCAA “A” cuts, and coached multiple
All-Conference swimmers.
Before working at Allegheny College,
Danielle served as the assistant swimming
coach at her alma mater, SUNY New Paltz from
August 2005–June 2007. While there,
she helped coach the team to 6 NCAA “B”
cuts, 3 NCAA “A” cuts, 5 individual
All-American honors, 3 All-American
Honorable Mention honors, 6 SUNYAC
Champions, 2 Relay SUNYAC Champions, and 1
NCAA Champion in the women’s 100
freestyle.
Throughout the summers of June–August
1999-2005, Danielle was a Town of Hempstead
lifeguard where she taught swimming lessons
to children of various ages and coached two
different Town of Hempstead swimming
programs. In the summer of 2002,
Danielle was the assistant coach of the
Forest City swimming team, and the summers
of 2003-2005 she was the head coach of the
Malibu swimming team, where the team
improved tremendously and moved up from the
Division II league to place third in the
Division I league.
In addition, Danielle will be the Bethpage
Middle School girls junior varsity swimming
coach this September 2010.
Danielle graduated from SUNY New Paltz in
2005 and was a 4-year varsity letter winner
for the Hawks. Throughout her career,
she was a 2 time captain from 2003-2005, 2
time SUNYAC Champion and 2 time ECAC
Champion in the 200 backstroke, and held 3
varsity records.
Danielle is attending Long Island University
– C.W. Post this fall to complete her
master’s degree in school counseling. |

With a strong
background in competitive swimming,
Paula’s enthusiasm and passion for the
sport of swimming serves to motivate and
inspire her swimmers. She, with
eight years of competitive swimming
experience, transcends the traditional
role of a coach and goes above and beyond
to help each athlete achieve
success.
A 2004 graduate of Bethpage High School,
she emerged as a sprint specialist in her
sophomore year. Paula was named to
the All-County Team three years straight
as both a relay and individual county
champion. She holds the distinction
of setting the 200 Freestyle Relay record
for Bethpage High School and Nassau
County. In addition, she represented
Section VIII in the New York State
Championships from 2002-2004.
In college, Paula swam for the CW Post
Pioneers from 2004-2008. As a sprint
specialist, she served as the core on
multiple record setting relays. In
her junior year, she was named as an NCAA
Division II All-American Honorable Mention
for her performance on the 200 Freestyle
Relay and competed at the NCAA Division II
Championships.
Paula’s experiences as a competitive
swimmer on both the collegiate and high
school level provide a strong base for her
knowledge of swimming and her eagerness to
learn and grow as a coach set her apart
from the crowd.
